Pay-What-You-Can Wednesdays
Wednesday night Pay-What-You-Can is a long-standing tradition here at Live Arts. We scrimp and save to keep ticket prices as low as possible, and we absolutely believe that our shows are worth every penny. But we get it. Sometimes it’s a little hard to justify spending $18, $20, $25 on a show when you just made a deal with your student loan people to let you slide for a month. Sometimes you’re torn between going to the theater and paying the phone bill. We know how it is. We’ve been there.
That’s why we have Pay-What-You-Can Wednesdays. Designed for all those people who want to support live theater but might be a bit tight this month. How do we do it? Well, we don’t.
You do.
That’s right. It doesn’t cost us any less to put on a Wednesday show. But with Pay-What-You-Can Wednesdays, that money comes from you. Some of it comes from donors who give money specifically to help subsidize it. Some of it comes from our fundraising efforts. But mostly, Pay-What-You-Can is sponsored by everybody who comes to Pay-What-You-Can Wednesday… and Pays-A-Bit-More.
Pay-What-You-Can Wednesday can be the cheapest ticket in town, but it’s also the simplest way of supporting Live Arts and the work we do here. Just by spending fifteen bucks instead of five, you help us put on a great show for somebody who can really only afford a dollar. Nobody’s getting rich here, but every little bit helps.
So come on down on Wednesday for Pay-What-You-Can. You’re welcome. And thanks.
Pay-What-You-Can tickets are available the day of show only, in person at the box office. Subject to availability.
