Musicians
Live Arts generally produces at least two musicals every season – and we always need great musicians to join our team!
Music Director
- Rehearses the actors
- Recruits and rehearses the pit musicians
- Works with the Director, Choreographer, Sound Designer, and entire production team to ensure the musical and vocal success of the production
Vocal Coach
- Some productions use a Vocal Coach to provide extra support to the Music Director in helping each performer reach his or her potential
Rehearsal Accompanist
- One of the most important roles – playing piano for rehearsals (and sometimes in the pit too)! Work with the Vocal Coach and Music Director, and get to know your incredible cast
Pit Musicians
- Rehearse with the Music Director
- Join the cast about a week before opening
- Play for all performances in the run (between 12 and 20, typically)
Some musicians working on production are eligible for a small stipend.
