Front of House
Join the front line team at Live Arts by working as an usher, box office volunteer, or in our concessions stands and bars. Each member of the Live Arts Front of House Team, led by our chief maître d’ Darryl Smith, is truly an ambassador of the patron experience.
Here’s what you need to know:
Usher:
Responsible for monitoring theater doors, taking tickets, reminding patrons of house rules, distributing programs, assisting patrons to their seats, assisting patrons in exiting the theater, and clearing the theater of trash post performance. Ushers arrive one hour and fifteen minutes prior to curtain time, and stay until the audience has left the theater.
Concessions and Bars:
Responsible for selling/serving food and drinks to patrons, money handling, checking ID’s, using cash register, and assisting with concession area set-up and clean-up. Concessions arrive one hour and fifteen minutes prior to curtain and stay through the end of intermission once the concessions area is cleaned and reset.
*Special note: we are currently seeking more skilled volunteer bartenders that love to mix a killer cocktail. Call Scott Dunn today if you’d like to pour at Live Arts.
Box Office:
Responsible for selling subscription and single admission tickets over the counter and by phone reservation, providing information in person or by telephone regarding performances, explaining box office policies, answering questions, and resolving routine problems regarding tickets sales. Hours can include daytime box office hours (Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday Noon – 4 pm) or working the box office on show nights.
