Stage Management

From the very first meeting with the Director, Producing Artistic Director, and Design team and all the way to strike….

The most trusted, the most responsible, the most organized…

The thickest skin, the kindest heart…

Timekeeper, note taker, door locker, communicator, listener…

THE STAGE MANAGER IS THERE

No production can succeed without a strong stage management team. As with all of our volunteer roles, we provide support, training, and encouragement.

The stage manager oversees the smooth running of the entire production, making sure that the s artistic vision of the director and the entire design team is realized. The stage manager works closely with the director, the cast, the crew, the Live Arts production manager, technical director, and the operations director. Successful stage managers can work with a diverse group of artistic personalities, establishing a creative environment through problem solving, grace under pressure and a sense of humor.
